Hello,
My name is Amanda, and ever since I can remember I have had a passion for entertaining and hospitality.
When I was little, my parents would host parties for all occasions. Even though we lived in the middle of nowhere, guests were always happy to travel out to enjoy a celebration with us. Hospitality was big in our home and my parents were always welcoming, whether it was for a planned event, a last-minute get-together, or letting friends live with us for an unforeseen amount of time when they needed someplace to go. Growing up in this type of environment really left a lasting impression on me.
Since I have had my own home, I have strived to be a warm and welcoming hostess. Being the one that plans events for special occasions, or no occasion at all (other than to enjoy the company of others), brings me true happiness.
After meeting my wonderful husband, Daniel, this passion has only grown. I love being that wife, the one who bakes goodies for him to take to work, the one that always hosts fun events and welcomes everyone that comes through the door.
As far as living a well-balanced and (mostly) stress-free life, that hasn’t come easily. Since meeting Daniel, he has been a great blessing in helping me to slow down and enjoy the important moments in life. I have worked to train myself to relax and realize that I don’t have to have the house spotless, be in bed at a certain time, or get everything done at once.
It’s important to stop and enjoy life, and this is what I want to share with you. How to work towards improving yourself, your home, and your journey on your way to being an amazing hostess. I wish to guide you on this life adventure and provide you with the tools to create your own cozy simple home.
