Citrusy Mojito Cocktail

This cocktail is a crowd pleaser for sure! Perfect for any gathering this simple drink will be a great addition to your next get-together. The best part is that you can easily substitute Gin for your preferred alcohol of choice (if Gin isn’t you cup of tea).

Just a little backstory to share here, I created this cocktail after trying an absolutely terrible recipe I had found online. I was testing it out for our upcoming Gin themed party, and it had sounded pretty good, until I took a sip. Woah, was it awful!

So, I decided to make my own concoction instead. Inspired from a basic mojito recipe (like this one from A Beautiful Mess), I quickly threw this cocktail together instead. It turned out amazing and people were asking me for the recipe! This is now my go to pitcher cocktail recipe. Sometimes I’ll substitute the Gin for Rum, it all depends on my mood and the spread we have at that particular event.

Simple Syrup Recipe

Simmer 1c water and 1c sugar in a small pot on the stovetop until dissolved. Let cool completely before adding to recipe.

Directions

Muddle mint with a splash of the club soda. Combine all ingredients in a large drink dispenser and stir. Add ice. Serve in decorative whiskey tumblers or a stylish highball glass, garnish with a sprig of mint or an orange slice.

Note: Do not make concentrate according to directions. The club soda substitutes for the water in this recipe.
